Travelling to Turkey without proper travel insurance means that you would have to pay for any emergency costs that might arise. From a medical emergency to lost luggage or a stolen passport, is it really worth risking?
Turkey has no reciprocal health agreements in place with the UK so you will not be covered by a Global Health Insurance Card (GHIC) or a valid European Health Insurance Card (EHIC). This makes having the right travel insurance all the more important.

If the area you’re travelling to experiences an earthquake, fire, flood, or hurricane that leads to the government issuing advice against travelling there, then you’ll be covered to cancel with all of our policies as standard.

This means that if you’re travelling to Turkey on a Region 2 (European) policy, that you’ll be covered for your holiday.
To be covered, you need to have received all doses of the COVID vaccine that you’ve been offered, including any booster jabs.
You can also be covered if you can’t have the vaccine due to a medical exemption.
If you have refused any doses of the COVID vaccine or any booster jab, then you won’t be covered for COVID related claims.
